What is its purpose I wonder, this marvellous treasure? I can feel the power it contains, deep and terrible. I think I know who constructed it, but to what purpose? It does not appear to function as a weapon, but then again, I have only managed to tap into a few of the more obvious usages so far. It could be that I am merely dabbling with incidental utilities, totally oblivious to the original intent of their implementation. And the emanations would seem to corroporate this, for the amount of energy and raw power in its capacity is several orders of magnitude larger than what would ever be neccessary to produce the paltry tricks we have seen this far. So how should I proceed from here? What am I missing? There is more, and there is a trick to it I'm sure, some secret needed to unlock it, to plummet to the depths of its mysteries. Oh well, back to randomly experimenting then. With any luck there'll be some pattern in the responses that I can pick up on, though it is most doubtful. But I will figure this out. It is too important not to. My carreer needs this. At least I have found enough not to be another failure. I have exceeded the predecessors, which is some relief at least. But it is not sufficient. I will unlock it all, so none can later investigate the device, and then find what I could not. I will not be conquered by anyone or anything.
Paul's notes: Since this matches certain descriptions, it seems a fair guess that this is a description of the artifact, or a piece thereof. Perhaps we can find out who this guy is, and what he found out?
